All five co-chairs of the Campaign for UWM received degrees from UWM and currently serve as chief executive officers for major Milwaukee corporations. All of them credit the University for their professional trajectory. Along with honorary co-chair Sheldon B. Lubar, they believe that the future of Milwaukee depends on UWM. They are:
 | James L. Ziemer “A thriving university is the keystone of economic development. The potential for UWM to be that keystone is enormous. That’s why I joined this campaign.” — James L.
