Susie Lamborn Associate Professor
Department of Educational Psychology
Susie Lamborn teaches courses in child development, adolescence, and multicultural family relationships. Her research interests include adolescent development within the family context with a specific focus on ethnic differences, parenting style influences on the development of minority youth, and the adjustment of immigrant families. Lamborn has written about parental influences in adolescence, student engagement and achievement in secondary schools, honesty and kindness in social interactions, and gender differences.
Lamborn was awarded a fellowship to teach in Tokyo, Japan, in 1994. She earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in developmental psychology from the University of Denver.
